  • Here is how you can get rid of your greasy hair naturally

New Delhi: Our scalp produces natural oils, which are important for our hair. However, the oil produced by the scalp naturally can make our hair look oily and greasy. This is why we use shampoo to wash off the excess oil from our hair and have to do this periodically, as the oil can deposit on our hair in a few days.

However, during the winter season, even taking a bath sounds like too much of a task, let alone washing your hair. Especially if you have long hair, as they take way longer to dry, even when you use a blow dryer. With temperatures dipping low every day, washing your hair regularly just seems impossible. However, you cannot go out having a bad hair day, or with extremely greasy hair. Dry shampoos can come to your rescue in such situations, but they are chemically-made and can damage your hair. Then what do you do? Here are three ways you can get rid of greasy hair, naturally!

Use talc as a dry shampoo

Body talc, when sprinkled on your hair and patted off, can absorb excess oil from the hair, leaving them looking silky, and not oily and greasy. This is one of the easiest, cheapest and most effective ways to get rid of greasy hair.

Get rid of dandruff

One of the most common scalp problems during the winters is that of dandruff. Dandruff can cause excessively oily and greasy hair. So, if you treat the cause, your hair will not get greasy too often.

Do not use oily serums

Most people use hair serums to detangle hair, make them appear shiny and silky. However, most serums are oil-based and can increase the frequency with which your hair become oily and greasy. Try to avoid the use of serums during the winters, or choose the ones that do not make your hair oily.
